What Your Child or Teen Will Receive From the Evaluation
A comprehensive written report. Your full evaluation report runs 15 to 30 pages depending on the package selected, and documents your child's complete neurodevelopmental profile, including their cognitive, emotional, social, and sensory functioning. You will understand not just what your child struggles with, but why, and how their brain works across school, home, and social settings.
A formal ADHD or Autism diagnosis, if criteria are met, on official True Reflections Mental Health Services letterhead. This documentation is accepted by schools, physicians, and other providers.
Individualized school accommodation recommendations, including 504 Plan and IEP support. Schools in New Jersey are required by law to provide accommodations to students with documented disabilities, but without a clinical diagnosis, many children are denied the support they need even when their struggles are clearly visible. Your evaluation report provides the clinical documentation your child's school needs to begin the 504 or IEP process, so you have everything you need to advocate for your child confidently at their next school meeting.
A personalized feedback session. This is not a report dropped into a portal and left unexplained. We sit down together to go through your child's results in plain language, at your pace, with time for every question you have.

Ages We Evaluate
Children ages 2.5 and up (Autism evaluations). Early identification is one of the most important things a parent can do for a young child who may be autistic. The earlier a child receives an affirming evaluation, the earlier they can access the right support and understanding.
Children ages 4 and up (ADHD evaluations). If your child is struggling with attention, impulse control, emotional regulation, or hyperactivity, a comprehensive evaluation can clarify what is happening and what support will help most.
Teens ages 13 through 17. Social demands increase, academic expectations intensify, and the pressure to fit in can lead to exhausting levels of masking. A diagnosis in adolescence can reduce self-blame, open the door to accommodations, and provide a framework for understanding themselves that changes everything.

The Evaluation Process
Step 1: Intake appointment. A 45 to 50 minute conversation with the parent or guardian covering developmental history, current challenges, school experiences, and your goals for the evaluation.
Step 2: Testing sessions. Your child or teen attends one to two sessions of two hours each, depending on the package selected, with assessments chosen based on their unique profile and referral questions.
Step 3: Report preparation. A comprehensive written report documents your child's full neurodevelopmental profile, diagnosis if criteria are met, and individualized recommendations for home, school, and daily life.
Step 4: Feedback session. A 45 to 50 minute appointment with the parent or guardian to review results in plain language, answer every question, and confirm next steps.

You do not have to pay the full amount upfront. A $500 deposit secures your appointments, with the remaining balance divided across the evaluation process so the financial commitment is spread over several weeks rather than due all at once.
